Did you know that Le Vieux Castillon has won the ‘Qualité Sud de France’ award for the quality of its amenities?

A change of scene a stone’s throw from the Pont Du Gard

Welcome to Castillon-du-Gard

The Renaissance village of Castillon du Gard, situated between Nîmes and Avignon, at the gateway to the Alpilles, the Camargue and the Cévennes, near the legendary Pont du Gard and the First Duchy of France (Uzès), overlooks the garrigue and the Gardon valley.

This is a sublimely authentic destination, with its rich and entrancing palette of colours, flavours and scents of Provence: just the place for a total change of scene.

Sport and countryside around Castillon

Welcome to Castillon-du-Gard

A visit to Le Vieux Castillon is the perfect opportunity to explore countryside which is as spectacular as it is varied and yet is right on its doorstep: the garrigue, the Alpilles, the Camargue, the Languedoc coastline, the Cévennes, the Lubéron, the valleys of the rivers Gardon, Cèze and Ardèche.

At less than an hour’s drive away, you can find a wide range of sporting activities: golf (a dozen courses), excursions by mountain bike or 4x4 through the garrigue, go-karting at the nearby Lédenon circuit, pony trekking and hiking, descent of the Gardon or the Ardèche by canoe or kayak, water-based sports (Languedoc beaches of Port Camargue, Le Grau du Roi and La Grande Motte), hot air ballooning.
